Here’s a look at which teams made deals on trade deadline day
Here is a look at the moves that went down on Tuesday at baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline:
■ The Arizona Diamondbacks bolstered their bullpen for the second time at the trade deadline, acquiring lefthander Jake Diekman from the Texas Rangers for righthander Wei-Chieh Huang and a player to be named. The deal comes after the Diamondbacks picked up righthander Brad Ziegler in a trade with the Miami Marlins, who got Double-A reliever Tommy Eveld in exchance.
■ The Milwaukee Brewers acquired second baseman Jonathan Schoop in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles. The playoff-hopeful Brewers sent second baseman Jonathan Villar, along with two prospects, to Baltimore.
■ The Los Angeles Dodgers added righthander John Axford from Toronto in exchange for minor league pitcher Corey Cropping.
■ The Atlanta Braves acquired righthanders Kevin Gausman and Darren O’Day from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for four prospects. The Orioles acquired Triple-A Gwinnett righthander Evan Phillips, Class A Rome infielder Jean Carlos Encarnacion, and two Double-A Mississippi prospects — catcher Brett Cumberland and left-hander Bruce Zimmerman. Baltimore also received international signing bonus slot money.
■ The Pittsburgh Pirates added righthander Chris Archer from Tampa Bay for a pair of coveted prospects in outfielder Austin Meadows and pitcher Tyler Glasnow and a player to be named later.
Pittsburgh also acquired Texas Rangers closer Keone Kela in exchange for lefthanded pitching prospect Taylor Hearn and a player to be named.
■ The Minnesota Twins sent second baseman Brian Dozier to the Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Logan Forsythe and two minor league players.
■ The Washington Nationals traded reliever Brandon Kintzler to the Chicago Cubs for minor league pitcher Jhon Romero.
■ Miami Marlins outfielder Cameron Maybin was sent to the Seattle Mariners for minor league infielder Bryson Brigman and international slot money.
■ The NL East-leading Phillies acquired All-Star catcher Wilson Ramos from the Tampa Bay Rays for a player to be named later or cash. The Phillies also acquired lefthander Aaron Loup from the Toronto Blue Jays for minor league righthander Jacob Waguespack.
■ The Cleveland Indians acquired center fielder Leonys Martin from the Detroit Tigers. Cleveland also received righthander Kyle Dowdy in the deal for shortstop prospect Willi Castro.
■ The St. Louis Cardinals traded outfielder Tommy Pham to the Tampa Bay Rays for three minor leaguers — outfielder Justin Williams, lefthanded pitcher Genesis Cabrera, and righthanded pitcher Roel Ramirez. The Rays also received international cap space in the four-player trade.
