Red Sox manager Alex Cora said he wants David Price to face the Houston Astros at Fenway Park.

“The way he pitched against them this year, he matches up real well against them,” Cora told WEEI Wednesday, saying that Price would start Game 2 of the American League Championship Series Sunday night.

Cora said he preferred to have Price face the Astros’ righthanded lineup at Fenway rather than at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Both parks have short left fields.

Price faced the Astros twice in the postseason last year in relief, going 6⅔ innings without allowing a run.
