Here are key dates and deadlines as the Red Sox head into the offseason

World Series title in hand, the Red Sox will quickly turn their attention to the offseason. Here are key dates and deadlines as baseball heads into its offseason:

Oct. 31 — Deadline for David Price to make a decision on his opt-out clause.

Nov. 2, 5 p.m. — Deadline for clubs to extend qualifying offers to their own free agents. For the Red Sox, this includes closer Craig Kimbrel.

Nov. 4 — Gold Gloves announced at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

Nov. 5 — BBWAA Awards finalists announced.

Nov. 9 — Defensive Players of the Year announced.

Nov. 8 — Silver Sluggers announced.


Nov. 5-8 — General Managers meetings, Carlsbad, Calif.

Nov. 12, 5 p.m. — Deadline for free agents to accept qualifying offers.

Nov. 12 — Rookies of the Year announced.

Nov. 13 — Managers of the Year announced. Sox skipper Alex Cora could be in the running.

Nov. 14 — Cy Young Awards announced.

Nov. 15 — Most Valuable Player Awards announced. Outfielder Mookie Betts and DH J.D. Martinez are among the contenders.

Nov. 19 — Comeback Players of the Year announced.

Nov. 20 — Designated Hitter of the Year announced.

Nov. 30 — Last day for teams to offer 2019 contracts to unsigned players on their 40-man rosters.

Dec. 10-13 — Winter Meetings in Las Vegas.

Dec. 13 — Rule 5 draft.
