Revolution sign Argentine midfielder Guillermo Hauche

The Revolution added one more attacking player for their playoff push, signing Argentine midfielder Guillermo Hauche Thursday.

A product of the Lanus Academy and Argentina Superleague power Racing Club, Hauche came to terms after a successful tryout with the Revolution. He will be added to the roster upon receipt of his P-1 visa and international transfer certificate.

“Guillermo is a very technical player who provides us with another attacking option heading into the final stretch of the season,” said Revolution general manager Michael Burns. “He trained with the first team during this past week and we were impressed with his skill set.”

Hauche, 25, had been without a club since early May when his loan stint with the Chilean team Deportes Temuco came to an end. He is a similar player to Revolution midfielder Cristian Penilla, regarded for his speed on the ball. Primarily a central attacking midfielder, Hauche can also play on the left side.
