Van plows into pedestrians along Toronto sidewalk; 10 killed, suspect held

The sidewalk was strewn with bodies and injured pedestrians after the van jumped the curb and traveled about a mile, a witness said.

The van sped down the sidewalk at 40 miles per hour, witnesses said, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Police identified the driver as 25-year-old Alek Minassian.
