Grief overflows in shooting death of former UMass Boston assistant basketball coach

Carol Price was comforted at her home in Dorchester by Kim and Ronald Odom. Kendric Price, Carol’s son, was shot and killed early Saturday morning. Steven Odom, Kendric’s friend who was killed in 2007, was the Odoms’ son.

On Sunday, family and friends mourned Kendric Price, 32, a financial analyst, basketball coach, and youth mentor who suffered “multiple gunshot wounds,” according to a police report.
