Grove Hall Juneteenth event empowers youth to organize
A small crowd gathered on the median of Blue Hill Avenue in the withering heat, holding protest signs as passing drivers honked their support. One sign read simply, “Enough.” The Community Stand Out was organized by National Black College Alliance founder George “Chip” Greenidge Jr. and Greatest Minds board member Sharra Gaston to inspire youth to protest police brutality and inequality.
