Wardens from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will resume their investigation Friday of a snowmobile found partially submerged in Emerson Pond Thursday. Rindge Fire Department officials were called to the pond after Fish and Game wardens spotted the snowmobile’s skis sticking out of the frozen pond, the town’s fire chief said. Investigators obtained the snowmobile’s registration number and discovered footprints leading away from the machine. Fire Chief Rickard Donovan said that there were no reports of missing persons and that residents near the pond and firefighters did not know how the snowmobile got there.
