Police said a 15-year-old boy apparently drowned at Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsborough Tuesday. Deputy Police Chief Richard Howe said emergency responders answered a call for help at the school at 11:45 a.m. Howe said police and firefighters performed CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead after being taken to Lowell General Hospital. A spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney’s office said that the drowning appeared to be accidental and that the victim was a freshman at the school. Authorities did not release the teenager’s name.
