Ex-substitute teacher, camp counselor sentenced for child pornography

An East Sandwich man who worked as a substitute teacher, camp counselor, and overnight babysitter was sentenced Thursday for possessing and distributing child pornography, according to US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz’s office. Bryce Garner, 23, pleaded guilty in April to the seven counts of possession and distribution after authorities discovered Garner sharing pornographic content, Ortiz’s office said. Federal agents also found he had more than 2,300 images and 1,100 videos of sexual abuse to children. Garner, who must register as a sex offender, was sentenced to seven years in prison and eight years of supervised release, Ortiz’s office said.
