A father has been accused of shaking his 3-month-old son twice, allegedly out of aggression toward a video game system, police in Newport, N.H., said. Jerry Carrier faces two charges of first-degree assault. WMUR-TV reported police said the baby was taken in January from Newport to a hospital. Two weeks later, police said, they responded to a similar incident in Charlestown, N.H., and the child was found unresponsive. His injuries were found to be from trauma that was declared not accidental. The baby is in state custody. Police said Carrier, 26, told them he shook the baby.
