Good Samaritan falls off bridge, dies

A Connecticut woman who stopped to help people involved in a car accident died after falling off a highway bridge. State Police said Lauren Mohr, 34, of Wallingford, was acting as a good Samaritan at the accident scene on Interstate 91 in New Haven around 12:30 a.m. Thursday when she fell over a concrete wall and plummeted 40 feet. She was pronounced dead at a hospital. Troopers said she may have been trying to avoid an oncoming car when she fell. A Quinnipiac University spokesman said Mohr was a temporary admissions aide at that school. None of the five people in the two cars involved in the accident was injured. (AP)
