Woman killed by Orange Line train at State Street Station

A woman was struck and killed by an Orange Line train on Saturday night at State Street Station, police said.

Around 11 p.m., Transit Police officers received a call that a woman, believed to be around 29 years old, was struck by a northbound Orange Line train, MBTA Transit Police said in a statement. Transit Police, the Boston Fire Department, and EMS responded.

The incident is under investigation by Transit Police detectives and the Suffolk District Attorney’s office.
