Nine people were arrested early on Sunday during a series of incidents, including a brawl, that began with the arrests of two men on firearms charges outside Bijou nightclub, according to Boston police. Around 2:03 a.m., officers near the club on Stuart Street saw two males they believed to be carrying firearms, according to a statement from police. After a brief foot chase and struggle, police arrested Randall Mastin, 19, and a 16-year-old who was not named because he is a juvenile. Both are Dorchester residents. Around 2:25 a.m., a fight broke out in a large crowd that had gathered during the arrests. Police dispersed the crowd and arresting six men on charges of affray and of disturbing the peace. As the crowd was dispersing, police followed Mario Barros, 26, of Dorchester, who they believed had a gun.

After a brief struggle, Barros was arrested and police said they found a .22-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun. Barros faces a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm and of armed career criminal.
