Authorities in New Hampshire on Monday arrested a man who, they said, led police on multiple chases while fleeing arrest on warrants. While he was at large, officials had described Jason R. McCoy, 25, as armed, dangerous, and possibly hallucinating on drugs.
The US Marshals Service and several local law enforcement agencies had been pursuing McCoy throughout the weekend, after they spotted him near Plymouth, N.H. They repeatedly attempted to capture him on warrants out of Rochester and Dover.
On Monday, the Marshals service said, authorities found McCoy at about 1 p.m. in a home in Alexandria, which is about 20 miles west of Lake Winnipesaukee. He was wanted on theft and probation violations that included reckless conduct with a firearm and credit card fraud, according to Rochester police.
Police said he stole a gun and a car. Authorities have not located those items.
