Boston police are searching for two men in connection with a machete attack in East Boston that sent one person to a hospital Sunday night.
The two men got into an argument with two people at about 11 p.m. on Chelsea Street, Officer Rachel McGuire said.
One of the men drew a machete and threw it toward the two people, striking one of them.
The victim who was hit by the machete was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, McGuire said.
The other victim fled.
Two other unknown people joined in the argument at one point, but they are not the prime suspects in the attack, McGuire said.
The two men being sought are described as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, thin, about 5 foot 8, and weighing between 130 and 160 pounds.
They were wearing blue jeans, T-shirts, and backpacks, McGuire said.
