Westford police are seeking the public’s help to identify the driver of a truck that allegedly sped away after striking two pedestrians Tuesday evening.
The truck, believed to be a Ford F250 or F350 Super Duty, hit two females, who were walking on the edge of Dunstable Road around 10 p.m., police said Wednesday in a statement posted on Facebook.
The vehicle slowed down before speeding off toward Groton Road, the statement said.
Police described the truck as “white or light colored with orange running or oscillating lights on the roof.”
“It is possible the truck had a loud exhaust and a body lift kit,” the statement said.
Video surveillance in the area showed a truck with a matching description traveling south on Dunstable Road, according to the statement.
The statement did not say whether the pedestrians suffered injuries, and it did not give their ages.
Attempts to reach a Westford police spokesman Wednesday evening were not successful.
Police asked anyone with knowledge of a truck with that description to call 978-692-2161 or 978-399-2072.
