The Yankees scored twice in the ninth inning against struggling Tampa Bay closer Fernando Rodney to pull even, and Lyle Overbay homered with two outs in the 11th to lift New York to a 4-3 victory over the Rays Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Ivan Nova (2-1), who made his first relief appearance for the Yankees after returning from a right triceps injury, struck out James Loney and got an inning-ending grounder from Matt Joyce with the bases loaded in the 10th.

With two outs in the top of the ninth, Overbay walked, went to second on a balk, and scored on Brennan Boesch’s pinch-hit RBI double. Brett Gardner then added a run-scoring single.

Rodney is just 9 for 14 in save chances this year after converting 48 of 50 opportunities last season.

Rays starter Matt Moore, looking to start the season 9-0, got a no-decision despite allowing one run in six innings.

Giants 6, Rockies 5 — Angel Pagan became the first San Francisco player to end a game with an inside-the-park homer, connecting with a runner aboard in the 10th inning to give the Giants a thrilling victory.

Troy Tulowitzki homered leading off the 10th to put the Rockies ahead, 5-4, but Colorado closer Rafael Betancourt (1-2) walked Brandon Crawford to open the bottom half. Guillermo Quiroz sacrificed before Pagan sent a long drive that hit the base of the wall and caromed away from right fielder Michael Cuddyer.

The last major leaguer to hit a walkoff inside-the-park home run was Tampa Bay’s Rey Sanchez on June 11, 2004. The previous Giants player to do it was Hall of Famer Bill Terry on Aug. 24, 1931, when the club was in New York.

Braves 6, Mets 0— Mike Minor homered for his first two RBIs in the majors and struck out 10 as visiting Atlanta posted its second win in a matter of hours, beating New York for its eighth straight victory.

Earlier, Dan Uggla had an RBI single in the 10th and the Braves won, 7-5, in the resumption of a game suspended by rain Friday after eight innings with the score tied.

Phillies 5, Nationals 3 — Domonic Brown homered and hit an RBI double as Philadelphia beat host Washington.

White Sox 2, Marlins 1 — Conor Gillaspie hit a walkoff single in the ninth to score Dewayne Wise, lifting host Chicago over Miami.
