Notes: The Red Sox have lost four in a row and are 10.5 games out of first place, matching their biggest deficit of the season. … The Rays have won eight straight and are 7.5 games out and in fourth place. … Lackey has faced the Rays twice this season and allowed two runs over 15 innings. He is 13-7, 4.07 in 23 career starts against Tampa Bay, 4-5, 6.08 in 11 starts at the Trop. Lackey threw seven shutout innings at the Trop on May 23. … Hellickson is making his second start of the season since returning from the DL. He lasted 4.1 innings and threw 84 pitches in the first. He is 4-2, 4.21 in 13 career appearances against the Red Sox.
