Prudential Tower to be lit in Boston College colors Saturday

The words "Go Sox" were illuminated on the side of the Prudential Tower before Game 6 of the World Series between the Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals in 2013. On Saturday, the tower will be lit in maroon and gold for the BC-Notre Dame football game at Fenway Park.AP

The Prudential Tower will be lit in maroon and gold on Saturday for Boston College’s football game against fifth-ranked Notre Dame at Fenway Park.

Saturday night will mark the first football game played at Fenway Park in 47 years. The game can be seen on the NBC Sports Network at 7:30.

The Prudential Tower has used light schemes to commemorate other sporting events in the past, including honoring the Red Sox during the World Series, to posting the number ‘33’ on the night Celtics legend Larry Bird retired.

To celebrate and recognize the Prudential Tower’s special light scheme, Boston College fans are encouraged to share their views of the tower on social media, tagging their posts with #BCPru. The best images will be shared on Boston College Athletics’ social and digital platforms.
