3 men hurt after being electrocuted in scaffolding accident in Beverly

Three construction workers were injured, one critically, after a scaffolding pole touched a power line Tuesday morning outside a Beverly home, electrocuting the men, police said.

The Beverly Police Department responded to a report that two workers had fallen from the roof at 7 Fosters Point at approximately 10:37 a.m., Beverly police officer Michael Boccuzzi said. On the scene, officers and medical personnel discovered that three construction workers were attempting to raise scaffolding when a pole fell and struck the power line, shocking all three men.

The workers were transported to Beverly Hospital, police said. The two other men have non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
