The Bruins announced Tuesday night they have acquired the rights to defenseman Michael Callahan from Arizona.
In exchange, Boston will ship a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft to the Coyotes.
The 6-foot-2-inch, 200-pound Callahan, a native of Franklin, is a senior at Providence College and has played in 134 games for the Friars, compiling 13 goals, 53 assists, and a plus-23 rating.
The 22-year-old was selected by Arizona in the fifth round (142nd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
