A swarm of mysterious drones were reported to be flying over a home in Harwich and near the public safety complex in the Cape Cod town on Thursday evening, police said.
A resident said she stepped outside around 9 p.m. and saw 10 to 15 drones hovering in the sky, the Harwich Police Department said in a statement.
The woman reported the drones were silent and looked very bright. She observed the devices for over an hour, according to the statement.
Around 6 p.m. Thursday , an off-duty Harwich officer also spotted similar drone activity near the Public Safety Complex on Sisson Road, police said in the statement posted on Facebook Friday evening.
The drones resemble those recently reported in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, which have raised concerns among residents and officials over the last few weeks, police said.
Police have forwarded all the information they received to the Boston FBI and the Massachusetts State Police, according to the statement.
No further information was released.
