Tell us: How are you savoring your last weekend of 8 p.m. sunsets this year?

As August arrives, one summer feature departs: our beloved post-8 p.m. sunsets.

A crystal-clear sunset behind the First Parish Church in Dorchester.

Every year we mourn it: the last post-8 p.m. sunset that disappears into Boston’s horizon.

On Sunday, Aug. 3, the sun will set at 8 p.m., according to timeanddate.com, and then on Monday, it will fall at 7:59 p.m. But this weekend is going to be a beautiful one. So let’s revel in it. Eat those fried clams. Hit your favorite beach. Take a bike ride. Remind yourself to touch grass because the days when it’s covered in a layer of frost will be here as quickly as you can say “time is but a construct.” We’re crowdsourcing the best things to do to enjoy summer’s long days. Before the end of 8 p.m. sunsets roll around, how are you savoring the season? Tell us below, and we may share your responses.
