One person was flown to the hospital, and two others were injured, after they were struck by a vehicle in Salem Monday evening, Salem fire said.
The three people were struck on Congress Street just before 5 p.m., Deputy Fire Chief, Scott Austin, said. One person was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Boston with serious injuries.
The other two people suffered minor injuries, Austin said.
Their conditions were not known Monday night.
Congress Street, between Palmer and Dow streets, was initially closed for investigation, Salem police wrote on Facebook.
Congress Street, near the waterfront, runs through the city’s Point neighborhood.
The roadway was reopened as of 11 p.m., and there were no visible signs of a crash.
