Golden Globe 2026 red carpet: See Ayo Edebiri, more fashion looks

Hollywood’s biggest stars were all glammed up and ready to party as the Golden Globes returned Sunday night.

The annual celebration of film and television, now in its 83rd edition, once again took over the the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., with comedian and actress Nikki Glaser hosting for the second straight year. Before the festivities began, fans got to see all the awards show looks and fashion moments as the industry’s biggest names hit the Golden Globes red carpet.

In addition to Glaser, the ceremony featured a star-studded list of presenters, including locals like Dorchester native Ayo Edebiri (who was also nominated for her work on “The Bear”) and “Stranger Things” actor and Newburyport native Joe Keery; “Heated Rivalry” heartthrobs Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams; music stars Charli xcx, Miley Cyrus, and Snoop Dogg; as well as A-list nominees like George Clooney and Julia Roberts, just to name a few.

Leading the Golden Globes with the most nominations this year was director/writer Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” with the film earning nine nods, including best motion picture, musical or comedy. Star Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated for best actor in a motion picture, musical or comedy, where he faced Clooney (“Jay Kelly”), Ethan Hawke (“Blue Moon”), Jesse Plemons (“Bugonia”), Lee Byung-hun (“No Other Choice”), and Timothée Chalamet (“Marty Supreme”).

“One Battle After Another” star Chase Infiniti was nominated for best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy, alongside Rose Byrne (“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”), Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked: For Good”), Kate Hudson (“Song Sung Blue”), Amanda Seyfried (“The Testament of Ann Lee”), and Emma Stone (“Bugonia”).

Other notable film nominees this year included the best actor in a motion picture, drama, category, highlighted by Michael B. Jordan (“Sinners”), Dwayne Johnson (“The Smashing Machine”), Joel Edgerton, (“Train Dreams”), Wagner Moura (“The Secret Agent”), Jeremy Allen White (“Springsteen”), and Oscar Isaac (“Frankenstein”). Contenders in the best actress in a motion picture, drama, category included Roberts (“After the Hunt”), Jennifer Lawrence (“Die My Love”), Jessie Buckley (“Hamnet”), Renate Reinsve (“Sentimental Value”), Eva Victor (“Sorry, Baby”), and Tessa Thompson (“Hedda”).

“The White Lotus” led the television categories with six nominations, including best television series, drama. Stars Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Carrie Coon, and Aimee Lou Wood all earned nominations as well.
