Two days after Jaylen Brown voiced his displeasure with the officiating in the Celtics’ Game 7 loss to the 76ers, the NBA fined the Celtics star $50,000 for his public criticism on social media.

On Sunday, some 24 hours after the Celtics squandered a 3-1 series lead in a 109-100 first-round playoff loss to the 76ers Saturday night at TD Garden, Brown did a Twitch stream to discuss the season and to criticize the officials, taking a shot a 76ers star Joel Embiid for flopping to draw calls.

“Flopping has ruined our game,” Brown said. “Joel Embiid is a great player, one of the best bigs in basketball history — [he] flops.”

Tuesday, the league took its parting shot at Brown when James Jones, NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations, announced the $50,000 fine.
