The Patriots on Monday signed first-round pick Caleb Lomu to his rookie contract.
Lomu, an offensive tackle drafted 28th overall, inked a fully guaranteed four-year, $18.9 million deal. He will be under contract through the 2029 season, before the Patriots can exercise his fifth-year option.
The hope is that Lomu, 2025 first-round pick Will Campbell, and 2025 third-round pick Jared Wilson can serve as mainstays on the rebuilt offensive line.
Second-rounder Gabe Jacas is New England’s only unsigned draft pick. Jacas has yet to practice this spring, even though draft picks are permitted to participate while unsigned up until training camp.
The Patriots will host their mandatory minicamp Tuesday through Thursday.
