Mexico may have its jersey-clad Merlin, but now the United States has its own World Cup web-footed friend.

Dawn, the domesticated duck who doesn’t shy away from the spotlight in Rhode Island, led the Tartan Army on a recent march in Providence, with the flag of Scotland affixed to its feathers.

Scotland will play its second — and final — game in the area Friday, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. against Morocco at Boston Stadium in Foxborough. Scotland’s final group-stage game will be in Miami, on Wednesday, June 24, against Brazil.

If Dawn was able to score a coveted ticket to Friday’s game, it wouldn’t be their first time at Gillette. Dawn took in a Patriots game last season, while sporting a duck-sized jersey.

Merlin and Dawn can only mean one thing… Your move, Canada.
