Weekend forecast: High pressure makes way for some fantastic weather across New England

High pressure will settle in across the region on Saturday and Sunday, making for one of our better weekends of the summer when it’s all said and done. Dew points will be back down into the upper 50s for the most part, making the air feel comfortable compared to what we’ve seen much of this week.

Saturday will see high pressure with more sun than clouds across Boston and most of New England. There may be a bit of haze still out there, but nothing disruptive.

Highs will be held to the mid-80s across most of the region, setting the stage for you to enjoy the heat without too much stress on the body. It’ll be a great day to be at the beach, too, with water temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Sunday

Sunday should wind up following a similar route as Saturday, with a blend of sun and clouds and high pressure keeping the region dry. Highs are likely to return to the mid-80s across Greater Boston — honestly, not much to complain about!

Greater Boston: Saturday and Sunday look to be beautiful with temperatures in the 80s.

Central/Western Mass.: Saturday and Sunday look to have partly sunny skies with highs to the upper 70s in the Berkshires, low to mid-80s east.

Southeastern Mass.: Saturday and Sunday look to see a blend of sun and clouds, highs to the upper 70s and low 80s.

Cape Cod and the Islands: Saturday and Sunday see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 70s.

Rhode Island: Saturday and Sunday wind up with partly to mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-80s.

New Hampshire: Saturday and Sunday range in the 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Vermont/Maine: Saturday and Sunday range in the upper 70s to low 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Connecticut: Saturday and Sunday range in the mid-80s under a mix of sun and clouds for both days.
