A man was struck by a car in Westwood Friday evening and critically injured, police said.
At 4:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Washington Street, Westwood police said in a statement.
The man, 58, was unconscious and suffered a head injury, police said.
He was treated at the scene and then taken to a Boston hospital, where he remains in critical condition, the statement said.
Westwood police, State Police and the Norfolk district attorney’s office are investigating.
