Puma launches ‘Forever Faster’ marketing campaign

Puma, the athletic footwear and apparel brand, is launching a new marketing effort with the mantra, “Forever Faster.”

Based in Germany, Puma has its North American headquarters in Westford.

Among sports stars featured in the campaign are sprinter Usain Bolt, and soccer players Mario Balotelli, Sergio Agüero, and Marta Vieira da Silva. Rounding out the cast are golfers Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson and the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team.

“Forever Faster is about PUMA making a statement as a brand and reminding people that we are and will continue to be the fastest sports brand in the world,” Adam Petrick, global marketing director at Puma, said in a statement. “We’ve always been known as a brand that takes risks and that’s not going to change, Forever Faster clearly represents that. This is going to change the way we approach product design and innovation as well as how we market our brand.”

One ad from the campaign might be deemed cheeky and risque so bluenoses may want to give this one a good leaving-alone. In any case, the ad can be viewed below.
