Sean Healey, the chief executive of investment company Affiliated Managers Group Inc., received $17.5 million in total compensation last year, more than triple his 2014 pay, but less than he earned the prior year.
Healey, 54, received a $750,000 salary and a $3.9 million cash bonus, as well as $12.8 million in stock awards, the AMG board said in the company’s annual proxy filing with regulators Friday.
He also received $156,689 worth of company aircraft use, retirement contributions, and other perks.
AMG, which was based in the Prides Crossing section of Beverly on the North Shore, last year changed its legal headquarters to West Palm Beach, Fla., according to a filing with the state of Massachusetts.
AMG referred to Boston as its headquarters in press releases until this year. The company’s top executives are all now based in Florida, a spokeswoman said; there are still an undisclosed number of employees in Prides Crossing.
“AMG is a global company with offices located in the US and around the world,’’ spokesman Dan Gagnier said in a statement. “Our presence in Prides Crossing and commitment to the North Shore and Greater Boston communities remain unchanged.”
Healey bought a $17 million mansion in Florida five years ago. He was formerly married to Kerry Healey, who was lieutenant governor in the Romney administration and is now president of Babson College in Wellesley.
Affiliated Managers received $1.2 million in tax credits in 2001 related to its move to the estate in Prides Crossing, and to hire or retain 50 employees. The company returned the tax credit in 2005, amid public criticism ahead of Kerry Healey’s run for office.
AMG’s June shareholder meeting will be held in London.
AMG, which buys stakes in smaller investment firms, had $611 billion in assets at the end of 2015, down from $620 billion at the end of 2014. The company reported net income of $516 million, up 14 percent from 2014. Revenue declined 1 percent to $2.84 billion.
The company’s Third Avenue Management affiliate in New York is under investigation by Secretary of State William F. Galvin’s office after the collapse of a $789 million distressed bond fund in December.

An earlier version of this story noted moving expenses for Healey, but the company said the proxy disclosure did not apply to him.
