Friends of Kris Kono took over the nightclub Machine on Saturday for “Konocopia,’’ a dance party in honor of the much beloved Boston DJ who died of complications from cancer last year. Kono’s music spinning pals - including House Head Pete and Adam Gibbons (above, from left) - took turns playing for the crowd while revelers such as Paige Gould and Amy Kumpel kept the dance floor packed. Proceeds from the event will benefit a scholarship in Kono’s name at the Berklee College of Music.
