Word from New York is that chef Todd English is on the straight and narrow after his arrest for drunken driving in the Hamptons. The New York Post reports that English, whose restaurant empire is based in New York now, looks “fit, trim, and healthy” after attending an “outpatient rehab program.” (He was
arrested in August after police
observed his car drifting out of its lane at 3:30 a.m.) Attempts to reach English’s rep were unsuccessful. The 54-year-old celebrity chef, who rose to prominence with the now-closed Olives in Charlestown, owns more than a dozen restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, Florida, the Bahamas, Alabama, and Boston.
