Turns out Mark Wahlberg might not be pulling his own weight as he ranks seventh on Forbes.com’s most overpaid actors list this year. Taking into account the last three films the actor shot — “The Gambler” (2014), “Daddy’s Home”(2015), and “Ted 2” (2015) — Forbes calculated that Wahlberg earned $9.20 for every $1 he was paid. Of the three films, “The Gambler” probably had the most impact on Wahlberg’s ranking, as it grossed around $34 million domestically with a $25 million budget. Had the billion dollar grossing “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (2014) made it into the equation, Wahlberg might have steered clear of the list entirely. Coming in at the No. 1 spot for the second year in a row was “Black Mass” star Johnny Depp, who earned $2.80 for every dollar paid. The list also included big names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Ferrell, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts.
