Annette Lemieux wins MFA’s Maud Morgan Prize

Annette Lemieux

Artist Annette Lemieux has won the Museum of Fine Arts’ 2017 Maud Morgan Prize.

The award is given to a Massachusetts woman for her contributions to contemporary art. Lemieux, senior lecturer on visual and environmental studies at Harvard University, will have an exhibit of her work at the MFA this summer, and will receive $10,000 as part of the honor.

Lemieux made news after the election when she asked the Whitney Museum to turn her work “Left Right Left Right,” which features 30 pictures of raised fists, upside down.
