Film crews were hard at work in Hingham Monday shooting scenes for the forthcoming comedy “Daddy’s Home 2.” Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell were seen lounging outside on the farmer’s porch of a home on Prospect Street during the shoot. According to a memo sent to residents, filming was scheduled to last one day there and parking and traffic restrictions were placed in certain areas of the neighborhood.
Directed by Sean Anders, the sequel to the 2015 hit “Daddy’s Home” also stars John Cena, John Lithgow, and Mel Gibson. It’s set to hit theaters this fall.
If you missed getting a glimpse of the Hollywood movie-making magic in Hingham, don’t worry, you may get another chance soon: Filming for “Daddy’s Home 2” is supposed to continue “in/around Massachusetts” from now until May.
