It’s an oft-told tale: When The Eagles broke up in 1980, Don Henley said the band would play again “when hell freezes over.” Well, hell is still plenty hot and the Eagles, or what’s left of them, have played a lot of shows since then.
And they’re about to hit the road again. The band, whose lineup now includes Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, supplemented by Vince Gill and Glenn Frey’s kid Deacon, has announced a series of North American dates that includes a show at TD Garden July 20.
Tickets for the “Evening With the Eagles” at TD Garden go on sale Dec. 2.
Meanwhile, indie band Pinegrove will not be playing in Boston as scheduled. The band has canceled the rest of its tour, which included a date at Royale Dec. 8 in the wake of a “sexual coercion” allegation against frontman Evan Stephens Hall. The singer responded to the allegation on Facebook, saying he “monumentally misread the situation” and is “trying earnestly . . . to reflect on all of the things I could have done, and can do, better.”
