A 65-year-old Belmont man was arrested on charges of stabbing a man late Friday night in Cambridge, police said Saturday. Around 11:15 p.m., a Cambridge resident was stabbed in the stomach after an altercation at the corner of Hancock Street and Massachusetts Avenue, a statement from Cambridge Police said. Officers found the victim lying on the ground after the suspect allegedly fled in a vehicle, police stated. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Frank Fraumeni was stopped by officers on Harvard Street, police said, and a witness to the stabbing identified him as the suspect. Fraumeni is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault to murder, according to police.
