A Lynn man was arraigned in Superior Court in Woburn Thursday for allegedly stealing the identities and credit card numbers for more than 3,400 people and using them to make online furniture purchases from an Everett company, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.

Cristian Villa-Marte, 32, was charged with two counts of larceny over $250, attempting to commit larceny over $250 and conspiracy to commit larceny over $250, according to a statement from the office.

Villa-Marte allegedly obtained people's information "through their Internet transactions, and used that information to buy tens of thousands of dollars of goods online," said. Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan

The purchases, which were made from September 2015 to March 2016, were delivered to addresses in Lynn and Lawrence, the statement said.

Police obtained authority from a court to search email accounts associated with the purchases, and then discovered documents related to Villa-Marte, according to the statement.

Villa-Marte was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail by a clerk magistrate. He was also ordered to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet, the statement said.

He will appear in court again August 30.
