A 62-year-old man was arrested by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s office in Texas after he attempted to vote twice, police said.
Phillip Cook Jr., of Richmond, Texas, told police he was trying to test the polling location’s security, according to Sheriff Troy Nehls.
Cook was recognized by one of the polling judges, who then questioned him, Nehls said. Cook admitted that he was trying to vote for a second time and said he was working for Donald Trump.
Nehls said he has no information to suggest Cook worked for the Trump campaign.
“I don’t believe, I have nothing right now that says he works for the Trump campaign,” said Nehls.

For weeks Trump has been claiming, without evidence, that the election is rigged, and he has urged his supporters to monitor polling places.
Cook was booked on a state jail felony charge, Nehls said. State jail felonies can carry a punishment of up to 2 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
In Fort Bend, voters must present identification, which is then swiped, Nehls said.
The sheriff said the county had a large turnout and had seen no other issues.
