State Police released a new photograph Friday of David M. Grossack, now one of the state’s most wanted men after authorities alleged he murdered an Everett man in the victim’s apartment earlier this year.
Grossack is wanted for the murder of Francis Brescia, whose body was found in his home on Oakland Avenue last week. Brescia was formerly homeless and an artist who used his struggles as inspiration for his paintings.
Grossack, 47, is believed to be homeless and was last seen in the Boston area and has gone to shelters in Lynn and Salem, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan’s office.
Ryan’s office said it is withholding Brescia’s cause of death to protect the investigation.
Grossack has brown hair, hazel eyes, and is 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slim build, authorities said. He has a tattoo on the back of his left hand.
“The preliminary investigation into this matter suggests that this was not a random act,” prosecutors said.
