Cambridge man arrested after gun found in car

Boston Police Department

Boston police officers arrested a Cambridge man after they allegedly found a gun during a traffic stop near Tremont Street and Ruggles Street Sunday evening.

Police said in a statement that the driver of the car and the passenger, Carlos Garcia-Parajo, 19, were both “behaving in a nervous and suspicious manner while moving around inside the car.”

Garci-Parajo “repeatedly provided false information regarding his name and date of birth,” police said.

Officers found a loaded .380 caliber Davis Arms model P380 semi-automatic handgun inside the vehicle and arrested Garcia-Parejo for unlawful posession.

The driver of the car was not arrested, police said.
