The Aquarium Station on the Blue Line was shut down due to flooding during Thursday’s massive snowstorm, MBTA officials said.
The station will be closed indefinitely, the transit agency said in a press release.
Tidal waters flooded the station on State Street, as part of the massive winter storm that slammed into the region.
The storm had dumped 13.2 inches of snow on the city as of 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Aquarium Station is in an area of State Street that was hard hit by coastal flooding during the afternoon high tide.
Blue Line trains will still pass through the station, but will not make stops. Passengers who usually use the Aquarium Station can still access trains at the State Street Station, the MBTA said.
