George Conway may be best known for his anti-Trump antics on Twitter, or being married to one of Trump’s most prominent aides, Kellyanne Conway.
But George Conway is also a native of Massachusetts. He attended Marlborough High School and Harvard College but moved away after he graduated at the age of 20.
The duo were the subject of a recent Washington Post profile, which included such tidbits as this scene from inside their home in the nation’s capital:
“He’s not just my boss,” Kellyanne says. “He’s our president.”
“Yeah,” George says walking out of the room. “We’ll see how long that lasts.”
Conway never seemed look back to Massachusetts. After his Harvard graduation in 1984, he attended Yale Law School, became a law clerk, and then joined the white-shoe firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he remains a partner. Somewhere along the way, he also became — gasp! — a Yankees fan.
Conway’s legal work was not removed from politics. He was among the lawyers helping Paula Jones in her lawsuit against President Bill Clinton. He also was involved in the conservative Federalist Society. He once dated conservative pundit Laura Ingraham.
After he married Kellyanne Conway, the duo moved into Trump Tower in Manhattan. That is how they met the president, the couple told the Post this week, and explains why they are now in Washington.
