Donald Trump Jr. once again used candy to illustrate a political philosophy Tuesday night, tweeting out a photograph of his daughter’s Halloween candy as a teaching point.
Dressed as a police officer, Trump Jr.’s daughter, Chloe, is featured in the photo holding out a red bucket of candy with a solemn look on her face.
The experiment, Trump Jr. writes, is to take half of Chloe’s candy and give it to a child who opted not to trick-or-treat, representing a socialist system.
“It’s never too early to teach her about socialism,” the president's son explained.
It wasn’t the first time Trump Jr. used sugary treats to make an argument online.
Last September during the campaign, Trump Jr. tweeted out a bowl of Skittles in an effort to compare the candy to Syrian refugees.
“If I had a bowl of skittles [sic] and I told you just three would kill you, would you take a handful?” he wrote. “That’s our Syrian refugee problem.”
The tweet spurred harsh backlash, including a brief statement from Skittles parent company Wrigley Americas, distancing themselves from Trump Jr.’s analogy.
