The costs of obesity are keenly felt

Obesity-related job absenteeism has been estimated to cost US businesses more than $4.3 billion a year in the United States, never mind the nearly $200 billion in health costs associated with the disease, which we all pay for. If we don’t reverse the trend, the trend will reverse us.

I am thankful for the policy makers, health professionals, media partners, educators, and others who are working on this epidemic.
