The New England Patriots will be honored with a duck boat parade Tuesday to celebrate the team’s historic comeback victory in Super Bowl LI, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh said.

Walsh took to Twitter in the moments after the Patriots overcame a 25-point deficit against the Atlanta Falcons and won the franchise’s fifth Super Bowl to celebrate the victory and announce the parade.

“Congratulations to the greatest team, the greatest coach, and the greatest quarterback of all time for winning their fifth Super Bowl victory in Houston,” Walsh said in a subsequent statement released late Sunday night. “The Patriots have made Boston and New England proud - fire up the duck boats!”

The parade is set to start 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Walsh said. A logistical meeting for city officials is scheduled for Monday.

Boston has celebrated the championships of each of the region’s major sports teams with a duck boat parade that winds its way through the city’s streets.
