Less than a week after opening its Lowell location, Patriot Care Corp. has state approval to begin recreational marijuana sales at a second location, this time in Greenfield.
Patriot Care received its “commence operations” notice from the state Cannabis Control Commission on Wednesday, giving it permission to open after three calendar days — as early as Sunday.
A spokeswoman for the company said Thursday it has not yet decided when it will open the Greenfield store, which is currently a medical dispensary, for recreational marijuana sales.
Patriot Care’s Lowell store began recreational marijuana sales last Saturday and was the first store to open in the Merrimack Valley. The company also operates a medical dispensary in Boston.
Patriot Care in Greenfield will be the state’s 14th recreational marijuana shop, with New England Treatment Access in Brookline expected to launch its own recreational sales Saturday.
